Northend United Vrs Carniny, Antrim and Star United Friday 10th March 2017

On Friday night at the Showgrounds Northend had 3 teams playing at the 2009 age group and they all played well with goals scored on the night from Conor Tully(3) Jake Laffan(2) and Jason Stott(1) against Carniny Youth.

Against Antrim Soccer Academy goals came from Jake Laffan (2), Jason Stott (1) and Conor Tully (1).

Against Star United Jake Laffan scored Northend's only goal.

Northend Youth Vrs Ballymena Allstars Friday 10th March 2017

Goals from OJ Mc Burney (1), Conor Tully (1) and Adrian Pekela was enough to see Northend home against Ballymena All Stars.

All the teams Northend played against were a credit to their club with all teams playing entertaining football.

Northend Panthers U8s Vrs Ballymena United U9s Friday 3rd March 2017

Another fantastic display, from the U8s Panthers team, playing Ballymena United U9s on Friday Night.

The boys played some wonderful football in the first half, goals coming from all over the pitch. Goalscorers in the first half coming from Eoghan Quinn 3, Sam McArdle, Daniel Cooke, Jude Crawford and CJ Croskery. Ballymena rallied at the start of the second half, and along with Northend losing concentration and pulled a couple of goals back, only thanks to Connor McCann in goals who made a number of good saves, having had nothing to do in the first half.

Northend then came alive and started playing again, goals coming from Carter Adams, Shea McFerran, and two more from Eoghan Quinn.

This was a great display considering the boys are already playing in an older age group, so much so the Irish FA Grassroots Officer has suggested the boys now move up to U10 level.

Northend United Panthers U8s Vrs Moyola Park U9s Friday 24th February 2017

This was a fantastic display from the Northend 2009s development team, playing in their first 7-a-side match at the Ballymena Irish FA SSG Development Centre, in the 2008 age group, against a steady Moyola Park side.

All the boys should be immensely proud, as they not only held their own, but defeated Moyola by 8 goals to 4, in cold and windy conditions.

An even first 25 minutes meant the teams were 4-4 at half time, but the boys moved to a new gear in the second half and finished very strongly, with goals coming from Bryn Stephens (2), Eoghan Quinn (2), Carter Adams (1) and a hat-trick from Sam McArdle, including a fantastic Scorpion Kick!

Alex Crawford, in goal, made a number of good saves, and his reading of the game along with Jude Crawford's skill on the ball, CJ Croskery's non-stop running and Daniel Cooke's solid defending made for a memorable first game at the older level for this group.
